Vendor Booth Agreements
The 2023 South Perry Street Fair vendor application form, photos of your booth for proper placement, and full payment must be received prior to booth assignment.
South Perry Street Fair reserves the right to select vendors from applicant pool in order to ensure a balanced street fair experience. Applications will be accepted until June 1 or when all spaces are full, whichever occurs first. Due to limitations on available space, the South Perry Street Fair cannot guarantee booth space for all applicants.
The South Perry Street fair is a community and family event and booth selection will reflect these values. Preferred street fair vendors are local food vendors, artisans and hand crafters that produce or create their products. We will have a limited number of booths available for commercial or imported item sellers. Due to space limitations, the South Perry Street Fair reserves the right to return the vendor’s registration fee.
The South Perry Street fair is not intended to be a forum for political or religious agendas and booth spaces will no longer be provided for these organizations. (Booth spaces for religious organizations physically located on or near S. Perry St may be considered if their sole purpose is to provide a product to the public.)
South Perry Street Fair only provides the booth space. Vendors are solely responsible for all items and materials necessary to conduct business. All merchandise, storage boxes, canopies, tables, chairs, and display units must be within your assigned space. Sidewalks cannot be used for storage space and must remain free of clutter. Distribution of literature must take place within your booth.
Vendor booths must be staffed at all times and remain intact until the tear down time. Booths are to remain intact until 8:00 pm.
The use of a generator for power must be declared upon the submission of an application. Day of event requests will not be honored.
I understand the following merchandise may not be displayed or sold: No fireworks, noise poppers, stink bombs, or fragrance bombs, aerosol spray toys (i.e. Silly String or hair dye), weapons, firearms, “stars and bars,” or projectile launching toys. This includes any items that the South Perry Street Fair deems unacceptable. Violators are subject to being removed from the street fair and may not be allowed to return for subsequent years.
All vendors who wish to erect canopies (including umbrellas) on the street fair site, including the set up and break down period, are required to have their canopies sufficiently and safely anchored to the ground from the time their canopy is put up to the time it is taken down. Sufficiently weighted canopies should have at least 24 pounds per leg. One canopy manufacturer recommends at least 40 pounds on each corner of a 10×10 tent; double that on a 10×20 tent. 50 pounds should be used for umbrellas. Weights for signs will vary depending on the size of sign. Any vendor who fails to properly anchor their canopy will not be allowed to sell at the street fair unless that vendor chooses to take down and stow their canopy and sell without it. For additional information: https://asapconnections.org/downloads/canopy-safety-101.pdf/
South Perry Street Fair application approvals are issued only to the registered vendor and are nontransferable. Unauthorized substitute vendors will not be allowed to participate.
All vendors are required to have their own appropriate trash collection capabilities and are required to clean up their area both during and after the event and dispose of trash in the provided dumpsters.
Booth locations & Load-In/Out instructions will be sent via email to all registered vendors after July 1, 2023. Load-in will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and booth tear down begins at 8:00 pm. No load in after 9:00 a.m. or load outs before 8:00 pm. If you sell-out your booth must remain intact and may display a “Sold Out” sign on your booth. Vendors that tear down and/or leave prior to 8 pm may not be permitted to have a booth at future South Perry Street Fairs.
Vendors will allow for a quick inspection on the day of the street fair. Photographs and booth descriptions submitted must match the booth on street fair day or you may be asked to leave and be banned from future fairs. If you are selling or giving away food, you must have submitted the appropriate food vendor applications and provide proof during the inspection. The South Perry Street Fair is committed to nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or identity.
